Debt Recovery
Outstanding Fees

We are frequently instructed by members of the accountancy profession to pursue clients in respect of outstanding fees. We offer a debt recovery service to both accountants and the general public.

Transcom debt recovery and our St Albans office

We also maintain a branch office in St Albans. We have one client at our St Albans office, namely Transcom Worldwide (UK) Limited www.transcom.com.

Transcom handles debt recovery work on behalf of many substantial and well-known international corporations.

Transcom will be instructed by its clients to manage and recover debt from their customers. If the normal procedure for debt recovery (correspondence and telephone) is not successful, the debt file is then passed on to Cope’s with a view to the taking of legal proceedings. Legal action is instituted at the Northampton Bulk Issue Centre, in view of the substantial amount of legal debt recovery work which we handle.

Upon entry of judgment, we will seek instructions from Transcom’s clients as to how they wish to enforce payment and we provide advice concerning the various means available and what is most appropriate in all the circumstances. We then proceed to enforce the judgment debt.

In a minority of cases, the action is defended, in which case the matter is normally transferred from Northampton to the defendant’s home county court. Cope’s will continue acting on behalf of Transcom’s client, will prepare matters for trial, conduct the trial and, after securing judgment, arrange for judgment to be enforced.

We are frequently instructed by members of the accountancy profession to pursue clients in respect of outstanding fees, either in writing or, if no response, by way of legal proceedings. If, on the other hand, you wish to act in person, we can advise with regard to the preparation of the claim form and in the event of a defence or counterclaim from the former client.

Visitors to this website who would be interested in learning more about Transcom’s services and those provided by our St Albans branch office should, in the first instance, contact Chris Cope on 01769 581581. He can arrange to set up a meeting with a Transcom representative at your business premises.
