If a case is to be referred to the accountant's disciplinary committee

We will advise you how to handle the disciplinary case if you wish to act in person. In the alternative, we can represent you before the disciplinary tribunal, either by Chris Cope or by instructing Counsel. It may be that the case should be defended. We will advise you with regard to your defence. If there is no defence, we will provide advice concerning mitigation and can represent you before the Committee presenting your plea in mitigation.

The disciplinary tribunal has found against you and you now wish to appeal.

We will advise with regard to the grounds of appeal and your chances of success before the Appeal Committee. We will also arrange for you to be represented before the Appeal Committee, either by Chris Cope or by Counsel.

Both disciplinary tribunal and appeal procedures have now been exhausted and you are still not satisfied.

If you wish to pursue the matter by way of judicial review to the High Court of Justice, we will advise you and thereafter arrange for Counsel to be instructed on the chances of successfully pursuing the case. We can also represent you in judicial review proceedings in the High Court by instructing Counsel on your behalf.
